NH Black Flies Win AAU 13U National Championship
New England Firebirds-Red 11u team win New England Super The NH Black Flies AAU 13U baseball team the won the division 2 National Championship in Virginia Beach, Virginia on July 26th. The team was also awarded the sportsmanship trophy for outstanding sportsmanship during the tournament. The tournament was comprised of a field of 26 ranked teams. The Black Flies qualified by winning the division for the second consecutive year and finishing with a New England District record of 21-9 while being ranked in the Top 10 nationally.
The tourney consisted of a combination of pool play and a single
elimination championship bracket and the Flies won their last 5
consecutive games to secure the title, beating the Midlothian Wildcats from Virginia in the championship game 4-0. finish>
